LET'S TALK ABOUT GRATITUDE, SHALL WE?

Let's talk about gratitude, shall we?

What at all is gratitude?

For me being grateful for what you have, appreciating what life throws at you and having a thankful heart for everything.
An emotion expressing appreciation for what one has (according to google).

One of the most difficult things one can do is appreciating whatever life throws at them. Trust me you cannot break every brick, and you definitely cannot turn every lemon into lemonade. Life can be really hard, in fact extremely hard that sometimes you wish you were not even part of it or hope it was just a dream. But then I’ll tell you one thing I learnt about life, getting to see the next day means everything. If you are fortunate to wake up the next day, know that you are way important than the dead no matter the status the person acquired or the riches he or she had.
A gift of life gives you new chances at everything, new opportunities, etc. It gives you a chance to make new decisions, correct mistakes of yesterday, grab new opportunities, do what you couldn't do before, new hope, new dreams and for me that's enough to be grateful for.

What if you didn't get the car you wanted, the shoes, the beautiful hair, makeup, house (apartment), job, clothes, etc. Does it mean you should give up in life, someone probably have all these but could not see the next day, another wishes he could give up all that just to be alive. Folks we have enough to be grateful for. We've complained too much, let's appreciate and be thankful for what we have. It's about time we forget about our worries and count our blessings.

Let me tell you about something I discovered immediately the clock struck to 2019, I realized God was not finished with me yet and that's why I was being given a new chance in life. The immediate past year  I will say was an interesting year for me. My family and I went through a lot. I personally experienced a whole lot of things, precisely disappointments, unfulfilled promises and even at some point failure. It was hard, painful and it got to a point where I said 2018 wasn't my year. But then my brother told me something I might probably never forget in my life and I’ll share with you. He said and I quote "we pay so much attention to our afflictions, our pains, we complain so much that we fail to pay attention to the other aspect of life, we fail to notice that we are still alive and that means we can try again". Let's be grateful dear ones. Let's us be thankful, let us appreciate the little good things in our life and work and improve on the bad ones. Now I say not only was 2018 an interesting one but a year full of lessons and, I did learn a lot and I strongly believe you did learn from your experiences too.

Did you know that being grateful comes with a whole lot of benefits as well? I bet not all of you know.  Well let me tell you that being grateful and expressing it leads to optimism, increased energy and empathy. Not only that, it also increases our well being, health and happiness. Let me share with you my motivation for 2019 and hopefully it motivates you too. It's from Marcus Stanley and it says "Remember, no matter what you are going through, if God woke you up this morning He's not finished with you. There's a purpose for your pain" so be grateful.

Let me end here by giving all of you beautiful readers a task. After reading I charge you to go on social media (whatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, twitter, etc) and post one thing or one person you are grateful for. Appreciate the person that has done so much for you, appreciate that little thing you can't do without but most of all let's be thankful to Most High. Let us show gratitude to God, family, friends, helpers and so on. Be blessed and have a wonderful day. Best
wishes for 2019.

  4. Gratitude is a springboard for more grace and blessings - as you become grateful, you open yourself up for more to be grateful about.

  8. Like you knew I needed these words. The past is dead, we can't totally brush it off since it's a part of us. But we'll take out the lessons and surge on. We shall become!
